Years of history and education
Admas University, Hargeisa, was founded in 2006 through a collaborative effort between the Ministries of Education of Ethiopia and Somaliland, making it the first private higher education institution in Somaliland. The university was established with the goal of providing quality education to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the region.
Starting with a small intake focused on social science fields, Admas University quickly expanded its academic offerings and grew in stature. Over the years, it has developed a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across diverse disciplines, including business, health sciences, law, engineering, and social sciences. This expansion has been driven by the university’s commitment to academic excellence and its mission to contribute to the social and economic development of Somaliland.
Through its dedicated faculty, modern facilities, and strong partnerships with local and international organizations, Admas University continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education in the region. Today, with over 15,000 successful graduates, the university remains a beacon of hope and opportunity for students seeking to make a meaningful impact on society.
